Cost of Domestic Automotive-Grade LiDAR Drops 40%, Accelerating the Adoption of High-Level Autonomous Driving

As autonomous driving technology advances toward L3 and beyond, LiDAR, its crucial "eyes," has become a key component. Domestic sensor company "Rui Vision Tech" recently launched a new generation of low-cost, automotive-grade LiDAR, with unit prices entering the RMB 1,000 range for the first time, marking a significant decrease.
Through its self-developed chip-level technology and automated production processes, Rui Vision Tech has successfully reduced the manufacturing cost of its 256-line LiDAR by 40%. The new product matches international leading standards in terms of ranging accuracy, point cloud density, and anti-interference capability, and has already secured designated projects from several domestic brands and new EV makers.
Industry experts believe this "cliff-like" drop in LiDAR cost will break the long-standing barrier of high prices hindering large-scale vehicle integration. Within the next two years, the price of vehicles equipped with LiDAR is expected to drop to around the RMB 200,000 range, allowing more consumers to experience high-level intelligent driving features. This also signifies that Chinese companies have established strong supply chain dominance and cost advantages in the field of core sensors for smart vehicles.
The reduction in cost of key components is a direct catalyst for technology popularization and market explosion.
